Artist Statement

My art work is inspired by my love of travel. From a very young age I traveled all over the globe and after college went to live and teach art overseas. I have taught in remote places like The Azores, Iceland and Misawa, a small town in northern Japan. To gain even greater inspiration I went trekking in the Himalayas of Nepal. I consider my paintings to be a "window to the world". Many paintings have windows in either a real or metaphorical image. Some of my works incorporate texture and mixed media. I hope that those who view my work will enjoy my creative journeys
