Art: The Perfect Pandemic Pasttime

The end of the school year was nothing less than traumatic, but the beginning of quarantine was a great opportunity to make art. My project was to produce 100 works of art over 100 days and I'm more than halfway there. Get ready for the 100.

Art + Math at The CAEA Conference

Another great presentation at the Colorado Art Education Association Fall Conference in Breckenridge.  This is a multi-media presentation on how to combine Math and Art into a curriculum.  Left to right, Graland Math teacher Nanette Newman and Graland Art teachers Cathy Naughton, Andrean Andrus and Andrea Crane.

This workshop was a hit with the crowd and inspired some of the attending educators to create similar applications in their Art programs.

I'm Giving All A's

This was my entry for the Colorado Art Education Educators' Show.  It was my protest in neon about having to give my students a grade for their work in my Art class.  Every child who tries their best deserves an "A" even if their work isn't suitable for an art gallery.

Behind the A's are the B's, C's and D's that administrators expect from time to time and they will not see the light of day...they remain dark.  The title of this work is, "I'm not giving grades anymore, I'm giving all A's."
